We’re back! After our summer hiatus, Dialogos Radio is back and set to launch the 2014-15 broadcast season, with more exciting interviews, Greek cultural segments, and great Greek music set to come your way!
This season, we are happy to announce that both the English- and Greek-language versions of Dialogos Radio will be heard on KVRX on a weekly basis! Our English-language broadcasts will resume at their usual time of 9 a.m. Central time on KVRX online at kvrx.org, while our Greek-language broadcasts will be heard on Monday mornings, also at 9 a.m. Central time and again online at kvrx.org. This is part of the expansion of our program, which is now heard on eleven radio stations across five countries, four continents, and online...but which started right here at KVRX four years ago, on August 27, 2010!
To kick off our broadcast season, we will feature a reairing of our interview with filmmaker Lamprini Thoma, producer of the acclaimed Greek documentary Palikari: Louis Tikas and the Ludlow Massacre. This is part of Dialogos Radio’s media sponsorship of the U.S. screening tour of Palikari, which will take place in September and October in cities across the United States! Musically, we will also feature some music from the recently departed Antonis Vardis, one of the biggest names in Greek music of the past few decades.
We will also be adding a new feature to our broadcasts this season, the commentary of the week, where we will offer brief, opinionated viewpoints on matters pertaining to Greece and to the worldwide Greek community. And, in addition, we will offer our usual quality mix of Greek music from multiple genres and eras, as well as occassional cultural segments! And once again, our podcasts, our mobile appsfor Android, Kindle, and BlackBerry devices, our on-demand programming, and our online radio station Dialogos Radio 24/7 will be fully operational and available across various multimedia platforms, allowing you to take our programming anywhere with you, across the world!
We are excited to be back on the air again, and look forward to your feedback, comments, and support!
