– A Wyoming woman faces multiple charges for allegedly stabbing her husband with a kitchen knife after accusing him of opening a Christmas present early.

Police say Shawn Johnson was stabbed in the chest by his wife Misty.

She’s charged with aggravated assault and battery, a felony, and misdemeanor domestic battery.

Authorities in Rock Springs say Shawn Johnson called 911 early Wednesday to report that his wife had stabbed him. According to court records, he told police that his wife started arguing with him over his opening a Christmas present. As the argument escalated, he says she accused him of having an affair.

Police found a marriage license in the couple’s apartment stating they were married in late September.–

Now I know this story is nowhere near an Austin area story, but I gasped just after reading the headline and I thought you would appreciate it too.
