The Business of Resource Accumulation

by admin ~ March 5th, 2008. Filed under: Episodes.

Tonight on In The Know, we’re talking about social mobility with a focus on business growth.

What is social mobility?  For our show tonight, social mobility is defined as the ability to change social status in class.  Class status is directly related to the ability to accumulate resources, including money.  Some people accumulate money by starting their own businesses.   Some make it, some don’t.    We’re talking about the reasons why.

We’ll talk about whether or not Facebook applications are worth the trouble,

And give you some tips to help your small business. More about that in the second half of the show. But first, the news.

KVRX News merged with the Journalism department this semester. This will be the first show augmented by stories from the U.T. Austin College of Communication’s radio reporting class.

Listen to In The Know every Wednesday night from 7-8 on 91.7 FM or online at KVRX.org. Click on the “listen now” button.
