Jena 6
The first thing i think about jena 6 is that its wrong for what they did to those young mens.. I really think that the principal should of did the same thing to what have done to the white boys , only because this laid out to be something a black and white and the is wrong......! They to let the black boy out of jail... let them or him free...
Jena 6
I am a young African American lady, 17 years old and it's hard to see that there is still racsim that takes place. I do not care what anyone say but it racist. They want to sentence these boys years in jail becuase of a fight. In that case many people would be going to jail becuase of fights because there are fights every singe day. The white boy went to a school function right after. Obviously he was ok if he was able to up and move around. The poeple charging him want to just look at the 6 boys beating him up but are they looking at what caused. Tears fall down from my eyes just thing about what those boys are going through. They will stay in my prayers.
I had registered with the
I had registered with the LeadingEdge Personnel located at 8200 N. Mopac around the date of June 29, 2007. My recruiter was Rachel Richter. I dont recall the exact date. But later on i was contacted by Lisa Matthews about a job that was over 30 miles away from my address. I told her how i thought the offer was ridiculous due to the type of job and the distance of it. The recruiter then told me something like "We are not going to work you anymore". She was very short, rude, and unprofessional with me. Later i had a talk with her manager. Her manager told me how she was going to work things out with Lisa. Im not very sure about the exact date, but afterwards i had a talk with the manager at LeadingEdge about getting me a job. I told her what type of job i wanted. She told me that i needed six months of experience for the particular job. Then she told me that she didnt think LeadingEdge would be the right resource for me. I was given the impression that after i got the 6 months of the work experience i needed, i could then get a postion through this employment agency. I already had 4 months of experience and a certification in the particular feild i wanted to work in. So after i got the other two months of this work experience through a different employment agency that got me on a temporary contract. I called back over to LeadingEdge for employment on the date of Oct 26, 2007. I was then told by Rachel Richter how i had to speak to the lawyer for this employment agency. I asked her why. She ask me something like "Why are you calling us". I then tried to reason with her but she just said "Please dont call anymore". At that point i knew that i had been discriminated against. This is a real racial issue in Austin Texas. The LeadingEdge located at 8200 N. Mopac is very bias and unethical. If it could happen to me... It could happen to any other person of enthnic background in need of employment in Austin Texas.
