KVRX Staff Unchained at the Dan Deacon Show

Submitted by TimH on Thu, 10/18/2007 - 18:36.

I was handling some important business earlier (procrastinating) when, what to my wondering eyes should appear but some wild dance moves, and a busted camera, oh dear. Cruise on over to stereogum.com to catch a glimpse of what our station manager, Stephanie Bonham, and one of our lovely music directors have been up to in the Big Apple. Chris Wigington is wearing a grey-and-white striped shirt, and Stephanie is ravishing as always in a dapper red hooded sweatshirt.
Allow me to direct your eyes: after Danny-boy splits the crowd down the middle, around the :43 second mark, a comely lass in a red hoodie (hoody? who-dy?) drops her camera with an audible thud. She's to our man Dan's right, in about the middle of the screen. Later, as he pumps up the phony Diplo at around the 2:07 mark, she flees the dance floor, probably to put on some fly dancing shoes before the contest is underway.
Speaking of dancing (or DANcing, if you will), if you have your screen frozen at 2:07 to catch her leave, you'll see an intense bearded face seeing her safely off the dancefloor. That face belongs to none other than Music Director extraordinaire Chris Wigington. He's screen-left of Dan in the freeze-frame. Keep your eye on him for the remainder of the clip for some grade-a dancing.
Big props to stereogum.com for catching them in action!

Yes, Stephanie is indeed

Yes, Stephanie is indeed ravishing.
And I must say that Chris W. does indeed offer some grade-A dancing: he really excells at the hands-in-the-air and hair bouncing thing.
Go Stephanie and Chris!
Don't forget to see Finally Punk (unless they've already played). I hear they're down a member for this performance.

That looks like a crazy-fun

That looks like a crazy-fun party and I got nothing but love for Chris and Stephanie...but if you need evidence of how white-washed college radio is, look no further than this video.

I'm so glad you posted this,

I'm so glad you posted this, because I was watching this earlier, and I thought I'd seen Chris, but having only met him once, I wasn't really sure. Way to represent KVRX!
