Hey folks, a quick update from On the Fringe - your weekly source in Austin for radical news and commentary on grassroots resistance to empire and exploitation... We returned on Monday from our two-week suspension to sound the alarm on a new effort by the Travis County Sheriff to further criminalize and put at risk local immigrant families by installing a permanent office for Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the county jail. We spoke with Cristina Tzintzun of the Workers Defense Project about a community meeting and protest scheduled for the following day (we'll air audio from that event next week). We spent the latter part of the hour airing Annie Leopard's Story of Stuff.
