They have been called “the No Wave Beatles” and describe themselves as a “pop damaged noise band". This particular album is poppier than their usual, which might not be saying much because it’s still all squealing guitars, pounding drums and yelling-yelling-yelling. According to their label, the theme of this album is broken heartedness and “raw emotion”. I recommend listening with the volume turned up loud and a bottle of whiskey in hand.
