Rock 'n Roll Gitmo

Submitted by mandrake on August 18, 2009 - 3:41pm
The High Strung, famously known for playing shows in libraries, were invited by the US military to play a few shows at Guantanamo Bay Library. What follows is a very strange and interesting account of their experience. Article is kinda lengthy but is a fascinating read. An insider's look at Gitmo, from the perspective of an "indie" rock band (probably a bunch of anti-'murica socialists) from Detroit.
