This week on Lip Service we spoke with Shane Whalley, Education Coordinator for the Gender and Sexuality Center right here at the University of Texas at Austin. We learned about some of the great programs offered here, such as the mentor program, the lending library, and Lavender Graduation. I learned of your station recently on a cross-continental flight from the co-founder of the Black Star Co-op Pub in Austin. She was a fascinating woman with irons in multiple worthwhile fires, so I took her advice on fascinating local stations in the Austin area. I had my first chance to listen yesterday, 7.13.10, at exactly 1:45 a.m., and my mission is to now find the exact playlist from that time until 2:06 a.m. which is when unfortunately I traveled beyond the broadcast range. Whomever was responsible for it, it was a fantastic set. Keep it rocking in the quasi-free world. Exclamation point.
