KVRX's longest-running program, now in its 16th year, features an in-studio live performance from local and touring bands, broadcasted live on 91.7 FM every Sunday night from 10-11pm. The sets as usually accompanied by an on-air interview at the end of the show, and the entire recording process, from plugging in cables to mastering tracks, is engineered by student staffers and volunteers in our very own studio.
KVRX also releases an annual Local Live compilation CD, featuring the best of the year's recorded performances. Past releases have included in-studio performanes from Modest Mouse, Spoon, Devendra Banhart, Jana Hunter, Six Organs of Admittance, and many more.
