Solid State this week: Hot Chip remixes Skream? Oh God.

Submitted by micropony on Thu, 11/13/2008 - 15:56.

I know, I know, dubstep hasn't really gained its footing here in Austin, but I try my best to force the real gems down your innocent throats once in a while. What's even better is that Hot Chip (very palatable, yes?) just remixed a track from London dubstep pioneer Skream. Make sure you tune in to Solid State radio this Friday from 11pm-1am to catch this track and many others, ranging from electro to minimal, to just plain wonky electronic music.

The New Music Coop Presents: Electrons and Phonons

Submitted by micropony on Thu, 11/06/2008 - 09:47.

On Friday & Saturday November 14th & 15th NMC will launch its third annual fusing of instruments and voice with and cutting-edge (and classic) electronic technology. This year's presentation features twice as much great music as in years past with special guest marimbist Nathaniel Bartlett and a rare performance of Karlheinz Stockhausen's four channel electronic work from 1960 "Kontakte."

Where the fuck is Kazan'? Well...
