Wednesday = dubstep night

Submitted by micropony on Wed, 09/03/2008 - 16:06.

I don't usually plug this kind of stuff, but anyone looking to have their guts shaken and stirred by unbelievably danceable and grimy dubstep needs to check out The Herd at Plush (617 Red River) tonight, and for that matter, every Wednesday. They're single-handedly bringing that delicious London robo-reggae to the durty sowf. Come dance with me.

Last Show for the O.P.E.R.A. House

Submitted by micropony on Thu, 08/07/2008 - 16:54.

Hey look at the bright side, at least Ich Ni San Chi, Night Viking, Nanobangbang (which I'm in) and others will be making a big racket for the occasion.

The O.P.E.R.A. House has served as a great music space for weirdos like Pataphysics, Gary Barftits, Daniel Francis Doyle, and just about every noise band you can shake a stick at. Show yer support and come on out! It's BYOB and all ages. Click the big crazy picture for details.

Baltimore psych-drone band Teeth Mountain coming to Austin

Submitted by micropony on Thu, 07/17/2008 - 11:24.

For those fans of the Baltimore feel-good noise and electronic stuff, go check out Teeth Mountain at [cough]Beauty Bar[cough] on Tuesday night July 22nd. Lots of interesting people in this band, some of them involved in Wham City, an art and music collective that's churning out some of my favorite music these days. Think Dan Deacon and Ultimate Reality.

Yeah Baltimore!
