Tim and Eric aweso...DENIED

Submitted by DJ Megz on Wed, 04/30/2008 - 19:55.

The worst feeling in the world is when you are ready to laugh and you get denied.

That's what happened to me today, when I had my Tim and Eric awesome tour ticket in hand.

I call the venue to find out how to get there, and they tell me it's 21+.

Life is hard when you're young.

AT the Mohawk on Friday night, Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter (who I met at sxsw last year...he was taller than I thought he would be) will be performing. Uhh...just thought you should know. We're only one member short of a Stella party!

p.s. my show is totally at 3am and you should check it out...

KVRX Staff Unchained at the Dan Deacon Show

Submitted by TimH on Thu, 10/18/2007 - 18:36.

I was handling some important business earlier (procrastinating) when, what to my wondering eyes should appear but some wild dance moves, and a busted camera, oh dear. Cruise on over to stereogum.com to catch a glimpse of what our station manager, Stephanie Bonham, and one of our lovely music directors have been up to in the Big Apple.

Return of DJ Daddy-O

Submitted by DJ Smokehouse Brown on Tue, 09/18/2007 - 18:37.

This week on Blues At Sunrise, my pops -- aka DJ Daddy-O -- returns to the hallowed halls of KVRX. He'll be sharing his impressive knowledge of comedy and novelty music (including an extensive collection of Dr. Demento's Basement Tapes), AND showing off the DJ skills he honed at East Los Angeles Community College way back in 1974. It all goes down Wednesday 09/19 from 7-9 AM on 91.7 FM, or on the web at www.kvrx.org.

Hope you can tune in!
