How did you first hear about or get involved with KVRX?

My sister's friend from high school, Aaron Martinez, was in KVRX. I've always thought of myself as a "music person" so I wanted to be a part of it all, too.

What shows have you had on KVRX?

Cup of Jane — Fall 2017 - Spring 2021 — Freeform

Cowboy Bebops — Spring 2019 - Spring 2021 — Specialty

What is your favorite KVRX memory?

This is a hard question.

All of my college memories are centered around the station.

I've talked about shelving in the library and meeting a new friend as my favorite memory so often. So here's another story. The story of how I got branded as the Weezer girl. A couple of the older KVRX boys were talking about Weezer, "Weezer hasn't released a good album since Pinkerton." "Matt Sharp was the only reason why Weezer was any good." And more complete lies. I was a sophomore at that point, and even though I was on staff, I felt I didn't belong. I didn't have any real friends at that point. I was scared of talking to anyone thinking they'd dislike me. But for some reason, I loudly interrupted from the other side of the station, "That's not true. Like, that's not even- Everything Will Be Alright in the End? White Album? I know some people don't like Pacific Daydream, but it's actually a really good album." They all started laughing and saying like "No. No, It was all Matt Sharp." So I played “Weekend Woman” off Pacific Daydream, and EVERY SINGLE PERSON started moving their heads and tapping their feet and so after that point, I got super into Weezer. Because at that point, I was more of a casual fan than the super fan I am now.

Tell us about your final playlist!

Every song on this playlist is tied to a memory. They either make me dance or make me cry. Really the two states of Jane. That's a joke. No, every song is for someone. Sometimes it's someone else, sometimes it's my past self. But I added all the Jane-core classics. There are no surprises if you know me. But I do think I'll be able to talk more about them when I'm live. I tear up when I think of the specifics behind each song and I think I need some more time to prepare.
