OUT OF BODY:

How would you describe your sound?

Desert rock pop, perfect if you like Queens Of The Stone Age, Kyuss, Type O Negative and Foo Fighters. The sound is dark, heavy, loud, and sexy.

How long have you been making music?

I've been playing guitar since childhood creating my own songs but never really knowing what to call it. I always thought good music should give people an out of body experience and lift them up to another level, so I eventually took that concept on in name. Out of Body has been a pseudonym for all my singer songwriter exploits the last few years. Now I have a new band of awesome players to express it. Who am I? I'm Balaram Shakti.

What's a recent project you've been working on?

We just released a new single called "Running Strong." It's catchy, spacey, and full of melody.

What Black musicians have influenced you most?

Little Richard, Jimi Hendrix and Prince.

Anything else you want our readers to know?

Life is short so live it to the fullest. Take that risk and do the thing people call you crazy for or what they don't have the guts to do because living with regret is unbearable.

Making music together since 2018, born with a passion for music.

What's a recent project you've been working on?

Featured group at the annual Austin NAACP awards banquet in December. Will be performing at the Georgetown TX spring festival on April 7th.

What Black musicians have influenced you most?

Curtis Mayfield, Nina Simone, Marley, Stevie Wonder.

Anything else you want our readers to know?

We find playing music to be a sacred endeavor and we are here to be of musical service to the people.
